Lance’s Power Washing – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern all power washing and related services provided by Lance’s Power Washing (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) to any residential, commercial, or municipal client (“Client”, “you”, or “your”). By scheduling service with us, you agree to be bound by the terms stated herein.

1. Service Agreement

Upon scheduling a job with Lance’s Power Washing, you (the Client) agree to allow our technicians access to the property for the purpose of performing the services requested. This includes access to water supply, driveways, decks, patios, walkways, buildings, or any other surfaces being serviced.

2. Payment Terms

2.1 Accepted Forms of Payment:

  • Accepted: Personal Checks, Business Checks, Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Cash.
  • NOT Accepted: Bank-certified checks or cashier’s checks of any kind.

2.2 Payment Due Date:

  • Full payment is due immediately upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

2.3 Credit Card Authorization:

  • We collect valid credit or debit card information prior to scheduling. By providing your card information, you authorize Lance’s Power Washing to:
    • Charge the card for unpaid balances if the job is not paid in full within 30 calendar days of completion.
    • Charge cancellation or rescheduling fees as defined in Section 6.

2.4 Late Payments:

  • Unpaid balances beyond 30 days will be charged automatically to the card on file.
  • If card is declined, a $25 late fee will be applied every 15 calendar days until full payment is received.
  • Any check returned due to insufficient funds will incur a $45 NSF fee, and future work will require advance payment via credit card only.

3. Job Estimates & Quotes

  • Estimates are valid for 30 days.
  • Final pricing may vary if additional work is required or if job conditions differ from what was initially described or quoted.

4. Property Conditions & Responsibilities

By scheduling service, the Client confirms:

  • The property is in suitable condition for power washing.
  • All windows and doors are sealed and closed.
  • Electrical outlets, fixtures, cameras, lights, and any sensitive equipment have been covered, removed, or secured.
  • Children, pets, and other household members will be kept clear of work zones.

We are not responsible for damage resulting from:

  • Pre-existing conditions (e.g. brittle wood, loose siding, damaged stucco, degraded paint, cracked windows).
  • Paint or stain lifting from surfaces not properly sealed or previously damaged.
  • Water intrusion due to failed seals, vents, gaps, or improper building materials.
  • Damage to items not removed or covered by the Client before service (e.g. grills, outdoor décor, extension cords, furniture).

5. Surface & Material Limitations

Power washing involves high pressure and water flow, which may reveal imperfections, damage, or degradation on aged or untreated surfaces.

We assume no liability for damage to:

  • Oxidized siding or roofing that may become chalky or streaked.
  • Wood or composite decking that splinters or discolors due to age or moisture absorption.
  • Paint that peels or fades due to sun exposure, improper prior application, or lack of primer.
  • Mortar, brick, or stone grout that loosens under pressure due to pre-existing weakness.

If a surface is deemed too fragile or at risk, we may:

  • Offer soft-washing or a lower-pressure approach.
  • Decline to clean the area entirely for safety and liability reasons.

6. Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows

  • Cancellation within 24 hours of appointment time will result in a $85 cancellation fee, which will be charged to the card on file.
  • Rescheduling is allowed with at least 24 hours’ notice and is subject to technician availability.
  • Clients who are not present and do not provide property access (e.g. locked gates, no water supply, no access to required surfaces) will be charged an $85 no-show fee.

7. Inclement Weather Policy

We reserve the right to delay or reschedule services due to unsafe weather conditions such as:

  • Rain, lightning, freezing temperatures, high winds, or severe storm warnings.

If your appointment must be postponed, we will contact you as early as possible and reschedule at the next available date.

8. Damages Beyond Our Control

Lance’s Power Washing is not liable for:

  • Any existing structural flaws or wear-and-tear that becomes visible or worsens as a result of power washing.
  • Damage caused by water intrusion due to poor property design, clogged gutters, unsealed joints, faulty seals, or cracked siding.
  • Damage to landscaping including plants, grass, mulch, or shrubs that may come in contact with runoff or chemicals, unless explicitly protected by the client.
  • Paint discoloration, fading, or removal on areas not properly prepped or already degraded.

If damage does occur due to clear negligence on our part, you must:

  1. Notify us within 48 hours of service completion.
  2. Allow us access to inspect and repair or remediate the issue.
  3. Not perform or contract third-party repairs prior to contacting us, doing so voids any liability on our part.

9. Client Obligations

By accepting services, you agree to:

  • Provide access to a working water source (spigot) within 100 feet of the work area.
  • Provide access to electricity if required for certain services (e.g., post-wash drying equipment).
  • Remove fragile items, cover delicate surfaces, and inform us of known hazards on-site.

10. Right to Refuse or Stop Work

We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if:

  • There are unsafe working conditions (aggressive animals, harassment, broken structures).
  • We determine that the surface may be permanently damaged by pressure washing.
  • The Client behaves inappropriately, unlawfully, or violates the terms herein.

11. Photos & Marketing

We may take before-and-after photos of completed work for insurance and marketing purposes. Photos will never include identifiable faces or private interior views. If you wish to opt out, please notify us in writing before service begins.

12. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Summit County, Ohio.

13. Severability

If any clause in this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining terms.

14. Acknowledgment

By booking with Lance’s Power Washing, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all the above Terms & Conditions.
